Three Jizos

The three Jizos -
bask in the autumn sun
all day long

~ san Jizou hinemosu aki no hi o abite

Jizo is one of the most popular bodhisattvas in Japanese Buddhism. Most of all Jizos are guardians deity of roads and village boundaries, worshiped in the various forms of stone images along the roadside.

In a sunny autumn day, they stood modestly along the walkway of the park. I put my hands together silently...
