Daimaru Department Store

Yesterday, I went to Osaka on business for the first time in a few years. It was fine, but slightly cold.  When I walked along Midosuji street, I found an old brick building and I took the above photography.

This is the "Daimaru Osaka Shinsaibashi" department store. The building was designed by an American Architect, William Merrell Vories (1880-1964) with American Gothic style. It is said that the building is one of architectural masterpieces of Japanese modern department stores.

No wonder that building is somehow majestic!
